
Welcoming New Executive Director Kelly-Ann Salerno
We are proud to welcome our new Executive Director, Kelly-Ann Salerno.
After nearly 5 years of dedicated leadership, Executive director, Laura Dumas, has stepped down. Now taking the helm is Kelly-Ann Salerno, who brings over 30 years of experience in housing, homelessness, and poverty reduction across Ontario.
Kelly-Ann has held prograssive leadership roles with the Regions of Peel and Waterloo, overseeing housing operations, emergency shelters, supportive housing, Ontario Works, employment programs, and outreach initiatives.
Most recently, as Associate Director of Housing Operations for the Region of Waterloo, she spearheaded transformative projects including:
- the regions first Hybrid Emergency Shelter (tiny homes)
- Waterloo's Plan to End Chronic Homelessness
- the first municipal-staffed outreach team
Her inovative, data-driven approach and collaborative leadership have advanced vital services for women and gender-diverse individuals, mental health and addiction supports, and social purpose enterprise programs.
As we continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of the Niagara community, this leadership transition marks a renewed commitment to inclusive, impactful service.
