Your donations go directly to frontline service and supports for our participants who experience homelessness and other mental health and addictions issues.
At Start Me Up Niagara (SMUN), we offer a variety of programming in the St Catharines, Queenston community that assists people who are marginalized by poverty, trauma, and the experiences of homelessness, mental health and addictions issues. Support from the community assists us in hosting participants in our centre for desperately needed respite.
On a daily basis, members of our community are left without the basic needs for survival such as: food, cleaning drinking water, clothing, and shelter. We rely on the generosity of people like yourself to help us continue serving the homeless and hungry in our community. As we are entering into colder weather, there is increased demand for the essential supports and services available at SMUN. We would not be able to respond to the needs of our community without our community supporters.
Throughout the year, donations of items for day to day needs are always needed. Items such as socks, hygiene, warm mitts and gloves, warm hats, baseball caps, sunscreen, bug spray and seasonal clothing, boots and shoes. Our bike shop is always in need of bicycles.
